The Shahed 149 "Gaza" is a drone unveiled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in 2021. It is named after the Gaza Strip to honor the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation during the 2021 Gaza war. The conflict was triggered by evictions in Jerusalem's Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. It escalated into a 11-day IDF bombing campaign in Gaza which included the destruction of a high-rise building housing Associated Press offices.
