In honor of the Chinese New Year that is celebrated this month, the Modern Warships February update “Jade Dragon” (v0.76) adds a new ship and plenty of weapons and aircraft from China. We have updated MW Stats with the latest game data. Below you will find a list of everything new. If you find something you are interested in, click the corresponding card to view detailed stats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balance changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The update introduces buffs to FS Swordship<\/a> and CN DDG-203<\/a> Kylin which have been added to the Battle Pass Vault.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swordship receives improved radar range. Its locked railgun gets increased accuracy and firing range. The SWS Launcher has now a faster reload speed, faster bullets, and less delay between shots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kylin has received a buff to its HP pool and increased sonar range. Its cannon now deals more damage and has faster projectiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CN Type 054B<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This stealth frigate is an updated version of the CN Type 054A Jiangkai II<\/a> (T2). However, it has been uptiered into tier 3 and features enhanced armament. The stats, armaments, and gameplay style are very similar to HMS Glasgow (Type 26)<\/a>. It is a fast and nimble ship and features missiles that can defeat enemy countermeasures just like the former ship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four total missile slots give it a lot of firepower and the locked H\/PJ-87B<\/a> cannon can fire a highly damaging burst, but features a long reload. The YU-10<\/a> torpedo is a heavyweight torpedo just like Spearfish <\/a>that can deal devastating damage but its slow speed and extremely long reload time make it tricky to use. Finally, the ship features two grenade launchers that can be used to fend off subs or increase the ship’s overall DPM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, a definite weakness is the anti-air capability. While it features twin HHQ-16F<\/a> systems (previously seen only on the CN Liren<\/a>), it features only two paltry free AA slots in total. You might want to mount dual-purpose autocannons like RAPIDFire<\/a> or Seahawk Sigma<\/a> in the autocannon slots to improve the AA damage output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Z-19E Kite<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Z-19E Kite helicopter is an upgraded epic version of the rare WZ-19 CAIC<\/a> heli. It features twin machine guns that can deliver a lot of damage in a rapid succession to both surface and air targets. There are also missiles and a rocket launcher. This helicopter is this month’s VIP Battle Pass reward.<\/p>\n\n\n

J-35<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The poor rare J-35<\/a> has been renamed again. This strike fighter was first known as J-31, then as J-35, and now it’s been renamed FC-31 to make way for the new epic J-35. This stealth aircraft features a cannon with enhanced damage, an anti-ship missile, a stealth missile that is unaffected by flares, and finally a laser-guided bomb. This means its weapons have an increased chance of getting through enemy defenses. This is a reward in the VIP pass.<\/p>\n\n\n

CH-901<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The CH-901 launches mini drones with laser guidance, a first in the game. While it makes it easier to get through enemy flares, the damage is not the highest and you can’t counter enemy submarines or torpedoes. This weapon goes in the grenade launcher slot. You will need to VIP Battle Pass to obtain this module.<\/p>\n\n\n

Silent Hunter is the first-ever Chinese laser air defense system in the game. It features enhanced damage and range. However, it has a very long reload time. This weapon is this month’s Premium Battle Pass item.<\/p>\n\n\n

The legendary Elements camouflage switches between the four elements: earth, water, air, and fire with an animated effect. It’s almost like four camouflages in one! This is a VIP Battle Pass reward.<\/p>\n\n\n
