FGS Tirpitz is a fictional design of a modernized version of the German battleship Tirpitz. The original Tirpitz was a Bismarck-class battleship and a sister ship of the Bismarck. Commissioned in 1941, it was sunk by British bombers off Tromsø, Norway, in 1944. The ship in the game is a hypothetical reconstruction featuring modern weapon systems like missiles which did not exist during the Second World War.
