Cookies
We and our partners store or access information on devices, such as cookies, and process personal data, such as unique identifiers and standard information sent by a device for the following purposes:
- Storing user application preferences
- Collecting analytics data that is used to improve the site
- Tracking errors when they occur on the site in order to fix bugs
- Advertising, which is used to offset the costs of hosting the site.
You can use the cookie banner to allow using your personal data for advertising purposes. Alternatively, you may click to refuse to consent, or access more detailed information and change your preferences before consenting.
You can change your preferences at any time by using the link in the footer to change your consent. Note that the cookie banner may not be available depending on your location. We display the cookie banner in countries and regions where it is required by the law.
Account
You can create a user account on MW Stats. By doing this, you agree that we may collect and store the following information about you:
- Email address
- IP address
We do not share personal account data with any third parties, except when it is required for the necessary functionality of the site. For example, we use the MailerSend service to send emails. When you log in, your email address is shared with MailerSend so they are able to send the login verification email.
You can delete your account at any time by logging in and selecting “delete account” on your account page. This will delete all data associated with your account.
You can link your MW Stats account to your Patreon account to gain extra features on the site, including ad-free browsing. These extra features may differ based on which Patreon tier you choose. By linking your Patreon account we may collect and store the following information from your Patreon account using the Patreon API (application programming interface):
- Email address
- Patreon ID (unique identifier)
- Whether you support MW Stats on Patreon or not
- First name and the first letter of last name
- Monthly contribution amount to MW Stats
This data is not visible to other users, except your name, which may be displayed to other users if you explicitly choose to make it public. If you are a Patreon supporter with a tier that includes the benefit “Patron shout-out”, you can choose to display your name on our Patreon supporter list.
Displaying your name in the list is disabled by default, but if you want to enable it, this is done by navigating to your account settings page and enabling the option “Display my name on the about page”.
By default, the name that will be displayed in the Patreon supporter list is your first name and the last character of your last name. For example, if your name is “Sam Taylor”, it will be displayed as “Sam T”. However, you can also enter any other name, nickname, or pseudonym if you like in the name field, which will be displayed instead.
You may disconnect your Patreon account from MW Stats at any point by selecting “disconnect Patreon account” on your user page. This will remove all associated Patreon data from your account.
