DTCN L5 as a heavyweight French torpedo developed by the Technical Directorate of Naval Construction (DTCN). Developed in the 1970s, the torpedo was used by the French Navy and exported to several other countries, including Belgium and Pakistan. The L5 was later replaced by the newer F17 torpedo.
