The Alsace-class was a real French battleship concept developed in the late 1930s as a successor to the Richelieu-class. The fictional "Super Alsace" in the game adds extra turret, bringing the total main battery to sixteen 380mm guns. This ship was featured in a previous game by the same developers, Battle of Warships (BoW).
