JS ひゅうが
JSひゅうが は海上自衛隊向けに建造されたヘリコプター搭載護衛艦であり、第二次世界大戦以降、日本で初めて建造された航空母艦型艦艇である。同規模の艦に比べて高速かつ高い機動性を誇り、豊富な攻撃兵装と多数のヘリコプターを搭載できるのが特徴。また、遠距離の水上目標に対して高効率で攻撃を行える特殊無人攻撃機部隊を運用できる点も、「ひゅうが」ならではの大きな強みとなっている。

JS Hyuga (DDH-181) is a helicopter destroyer of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. She was commissioned in 2009 and is the lead ship of the Hyuga-class. The ship is capable of operating helicopters and VTOL aircraft, such as the F-35B Lightning II. The ship was succeeded by the the Izumo-class helicopter destroyers, which are larger and more capable than the Hyuga-class.
