USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51)

USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) is the lead ship of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers of the United States Navy. It was commissioned in 1991 and is named after Admiral Arleigh Burke, a World War II destroyer commander. Incorporating the Aegis Combat System, the Arleigh Burke-class is one of the most advanced and widely used classes of destroyers in the world. As the first ship of the class, USS Arleigh Burke represents the Flight I iteration of the class, which features the original design and capabilities.
