Concept/Prototype

The North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie was a prototype strategic bomber developed in the 1960s. It was designed to deliver nuclear payloads at high altitude and supersonic speeds, beyond the reach of interceptor aircraft. However, the emergence of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) made the program obsolete, and it was ultimately canceled.
