Concept/Prototype
CIWS-II is a next-generation close-in weapon system (CIWS) being developed by the South Korean defense company LIGNex1. The aim of the project is to replace the existing Phalanx and Goalkeeper CIWS systems with a more advanced indigenous design. The system features a 30 mm Gatling gun and the company hopes to finish the development of the system by 2027.
