The Modern Warships November 2023 update is named Fury Outbreak and has version number 0.73. In addition to bug fixes and improvements, this update adds new ships, weapons and aircraft to the game. Below you will find everything new added in the update. You can click the card of the item you are interested in to view more detailed statistics.

New features

The user interface has been improved by adding the shop icon on the main screen. This allows players to easily buy modules and aircraft. This fixes one major criticism of the user interface overhault introduced in the last update: the shop was buried in the ship weapon carousel which made it hard to find.

A new icon has been added to all weapons, aircraft and ships in the port, you can click to to view basic details about ships and other game items.

A new currency has been introduced called Vault Coin. This currency allows you to purchase ships, weapons and aircraft from previous Battle Passes. It appears that it functions somehow similarly to Market. You can obtain Vault Coins via Battle Pass. The devs have promised to give more details about this system in the coming days.

A new title system has been added. Currently the titles are Hero and Legendary but the developers have indicated that more titles will be added in the future. The title system allows players to choose which title they want to show to other players.

Ships

HMS Glasgow (Type 26)

This British frigate resembles a Tier III version HMS Duncan (D37) and has a familiar pyramid-shaped radar. Because it’s a frigate, it has relatively small size, fast speed and good maneuverability. It has also a lot of firepower. The locked RGM-84 Harpoon Block II is an improved version of tier I Harpoon missile and can deliver a volley of 4 missiles with a short cooldown. There’s two free missile slots. The cannon is a locked MK8 Mod 2 (155mm) system is an improved version of TMF 155 (155 mm) with higher damage and one more shot per volley.

In addition to two torpedoes, there are plenty of air defense systems, including Bofors autocannons that can target aircraft, an Aster-30 Block 0 missile system, 5 HELS lasers and one free air defense slot. While the ship can fight back against submarines with its two torpedo slots, the lack of grenade launcher makes it vulnerable to enemy torpedoes. This ship is the final reward in the Battle Pass which means you can get it for free.

Camouflages

The update includes three new camouflages that can be obtained through the Battle Pass.

Late Fall

This camouflage features animated leaf patterns and a cool particle effect: leaves swirling around the ship. VIP Battle Pass reward.

Theatrical Duality

This camo plasters your ship with Kabuki masks and animates between blue and red backgrounds. This is a Premium Battle Pass reward.

A Vicious Game

This camouflage has gold-colored roses on a black background. However, there’s no animated effect. This camo is a Free Battle Pass reward.

Aircraft

Su-35S Flanker-E

The Su-35S Flanker-E is another member of the Soviet/Russian Flanker family. What makes this strike fighter special is that it can deal a lot of damage to air targets using its cannon and twin anti-air missiles. However, it’s debatable how useful this feature is in combat, as most players prefer strikers that can deal a lot damage to enemy ships. VIP Battle Pass reward.

Pan Spatial Spyder Wing

The Spyder Wing drone joins other Pan Spatial designs in the game (Killswitch and Argonas). However, this time it’s part of the VIP Battle Pass and not a Market item. Like the Killswitch, Spyder Wing features variable geometry wings and VTOL capability. It is also armed with lasers that can destroy air and surface targets. While this weapon has high damage, it has a somewhat short range.

Weapons

MGM-140 NTACMS

The MGM-140 NTACMS is a naval version of the ATACMS tactical missile. The ATACMS was famously supplied by the United States to the Kiev authorities to be used in the conflict in Ukraine. This missile has a cluster warhead. This means the damage is variable depending on how many submunitions hit the target. This missile is a VIP Battle Pass reward.

CIWS-II (30mm)

This korean air defense system works a lot like the Chinese Type 2030: it’s a gatling gun that targets only air targets. This makes it very useful in taking down enemy planes and helicopters. While the CIWS-II doesn’t do as much damage as Type 2030, it has longer range and better accuracy. Best of all, this it is a free Battle Pass reward.

RUR-5C ASROC

The RUR-5C ASROC is an epic version of the rare RUR-5B ASROC and the enhanced RUR-5 ASROC. It features high DPM, average reload speed and good accuracy. It can be used to destroy surface and underwater targets. Premium Battle Pass item.

YJ-12A

This Chinese misisle was a surprise addition by the developers as the missile was not mentioned in the patch notes. It fires two missiles in a burst and has medium damage, speed and reload. This missile can be purchase in the shop using in-game dollars.

Avatars

Three new player avatars have been added to the game. They can be obtained through the Battle Pass.

Trent Howley (Premium Battle Pass)

Randall Wiley (Free Battle Pass)

Dmitry Berezov (Premium Battle Pass)
