Concept/Prototype
The HPLS 100 in the game is based on a real-life concept of a high-powered laser weapon system unveiled by the Japanese defence conglomerate Kawasaki in 2025. The system was shown off at the DSEI exhibition in Chiba and is designed to be employed on naval vessels to counter incoming drones.
