Type 93 is a Japanese surface-to-air missile (SAM) developed by Toshiba Heavy Industries. The system entered service in 1993 and is used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). It is mounted on a four-by-four truck and carries eight missiles in a box launcher.
