IJN Kongo
A Japanese battlecruiser, later reclassified as a battleship. Built to a British design and commissioned in the early 20th century, it became Japan’s first major warship armed with 356 mm main battery guns. During modernization, it received enhanced armor protection, an expanded superstructure, and an upgraded power plant, providing high speed for a battleship.

Kongo was a Japanese pre-war Kongo-class battlecruiser, commissioned in 1913. The ship was later reclassified as a battleship and underwent several modernizations throughout its service life. During World War II, Kongo participated in various naval battles but was ultimately sunk in 1944 in the Strait of Formosa.
