The latest game from Modern Warships developer Arstorm FZE is now available for download on Android devices. Instead of battles at sea, MWT: Tank Battles is focused on ground vehicles like tanks, APCs, and artillery pieces, in addition to helicopters and attack aircraft.

The game has been in development at least since 2022. Initially, the developers were planning on adding a special tank mode to Modern Warships. In this mode, tanks would be able to fight against ships and aircraft, all on a single map.

However, these plans were later scrapped because the developers found it hard to balance combat between three different types of units. It was simply not very fun to fight against a ship when playing as a tank. Adding the tank mode into Modern Warships would also make the game very large and hard to optimize. This is why the decision was made to make the tank mode an entirely separate game called MWT: Tank Battles, also known as Modern Warfront.

The APK file for the game can be downloaded on the Artstorm website. The file size is 1.7 GB.

On Google Play, MWT has been soft-launched in Germany, Turkiye and Poland. In other regions, the game will officially release on 2024-11-07. You can pre-register on Google Play Store and receive T54E1 tank and Dual-Tex Marine camouflage on release. Pre-registration is also available on the Apple Apple Store.

There is currently no information on a PC version, but it is very much likely as Modern Warships was also released on PC after its Android and iOS debut.

We have gotten many questions if the release of the game means that tanks will be added on MW Stats. MW Stats is a trusted source for tens of thousands of Modern Warships players every month. So it’s natural to ask the question if similar stats for MWT will be available.

We want to keep MW Stats dedicated to Modern Warships. However, a separate MWT Stats is something that would be great to see in the future. However, we are a small team with limited time and resources so we can’t promise to deliver such a major project right now.

We don’t want to start working on a new app if it means that our focus on MW Stats will suffer as a consequence. We also want to make any future app as good as or even better than MW Stats. We don’t want to release something with a lot of bugs or missing important features.

Because of this, we don’t have anything to announce at the moment. But that might change in the future! To stay up to date on any such announcement, follow MW Stats on social media.
