FGS F127

The F127 class is a planned class of air-defense frigates for the German Navy, intended to replace the Sachsen-class (F124). The ships are being developed as large air-defense frigates with destroyer-sized dimensions, with the planned design incorporating the U.S. Aegis combat management system and ballistic missile defense capabilities. The program has faced concerns over its projected costs, with the design and configuration being reviewed. The in-game model is based on an early F127 design proposal by Dutch shipbuilder Damen from the early 2020s, developed during the planned but later cancelled German-Dutch cooperation on a next-generation air-defense frigate.
