Aquitaine (D650) is the lead ship of the Aquitaine-class frigates of the French Navy. Commissioned in 2012, it was the first ship to enter service under FREMM (European multi-mission frigate), a joint French-Italian program whose ships were designed by Naval Group and Fincantieri. The French version of the FREMM program is known as the Aquitaine-class, while the Italian version is the Bergamini-class.
