USS Arkansas (CGN-41) was the last of the four Virginia-class cruisers, nuclear-powered guided missile ships of the United States Navy. It was commissioned in 1980 and refitted with Tomahawk missiles in 1985. After the Cold War the Navy judged its nine nuclear-powered cruisers too costly to keep, so Arkansas was decommissioned in 1998 and scrapped through the Ship-Submarine Recycling Program at Bremerton.
