USS FFG(X)

In the game, the USS FFG(X) is based on USS Constellation (FFG-62), the fifth U.S. Navy ship to carry the name and the lead ship of the Constellation-class guided-missile frigates. The class originated from the Navy's FFG(X) competition, which selected Fincantieri's FREMM-based design in 2020. Following the contract award, extensive modifications to the parent design resulted in design instability, significant weight growth, and major construction delays. As a result, delivery of the lead ship has been delayed to 2029. In November 2025, the Navy cut the planned class from 20 ships to the two already under construction, Constellation and USS Congress (FFG-63).
