MW Stats has visitors all over the world and thanks to generous contributors and translations it can be accessed in dozens of languages. Unfortunately, so many different languages adds a lot of overhead when it comes to maintaining the translations which means many of the texts are missing or incomplete.
Every new language also requires more storage and processing power, for example, due to how the full-text search is currently implemented, every new language slows down the indexing process considerably.
Unfortunately due to this, we are dropping support for the following languages:
- Tiếng Việt (vi)
- Español (es)
- Deutsch (de)
- ภาษาไทย (th)
- Português (pt)
- Arabic (ar)
- Italiano (it)
- Bahasa Melayu (ms)
- हिन्दी (hi)
MW Stats will continue to be available in the following languages:
- English (en)
- 简体中文 (zh-hans)
- 繁體中文 (zh-hant)
- bahasa Indonesia (id)
- Русский (ru)
- 한국어 (ko)
- 日本語 (ja)
These are the most popular and most complete translations which is why we are keeping them.
We apologise for the inconvenience to those using the removed languages. Some of these languages might return in the future if we find translators and improve the translation process to lessen its impact on server requirements.
